| 面對長島急速增長的華人移民和寄居的學子，有誰來關心我們骨肉之親的靈魂呢？ 一群肩負使命感的基督徒，依據聖經的真理，建立了以基督為中心的長島基督福音教會， 目的在於同心敬拜、事奉上帝並學習彼此相愛的團契生活。 在基督裏，我們超越了不同的語言、背景與文化差異的隔閡，為著相同的異象，而同心的 獻上自己。 謹此向您簡介長島基督福音教會，並誠摯地邀請您參加聚會，更投入配搭事奉的行列。 |
| 我們的信仰 Our Belief |
| 長島基督福音教會: 我們的信仰 聖經乃是神的靈感動人所寫成的，記載神對人的啟示，是神對人訓誨的寶庫，以救恩為真理和終局，其內容無誤，是神對人審判的法則﹔更是全人類信仰與行為的最高準則。 我們相信獨一的真神，是宇宙之創造主、救贖主、護衛和統治的主。這位永存的神啟示了祂自己─是聖父、聖子和聖靈﹔雖各具獨特的屬性，但卻是同存、同質及同尊榮。 聖父是天地萬物之創始者、管理及維持者。 聖子耶穌基督是真神，也是真人。由聖靈感孕童貞女馬利亞所生。祂死在十字架上，流血為人贖罪，從死裡復活，升到天上，在榮耀至高者的右邊，做我們的祭司，為我們代求，我們相信祂必照自己的應許親自再臨。 聖靈使人知罪、重生，並住在聖靈心中，引導、督責，使人有能力過聖潔的生活，事奉神、服事人。 The Scriptures “The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is the record of God's revelation of Himself to man … It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter … The criterion by which the Bible is to be interpreted is Jesus Christ.” God “There is one and only one living and true God … The eternal God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.” God the Father “God as Father reigns with providential care over His universe, His creatures, and the flow of the stream of human history according to the purposes of His grace … God is Father in truth to those who become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ.” God the Son “Christ is the eternal Son of God. In His incarnation as Jesus Christ He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary … He honored the divine law by His personal obedience, and in His death on the cross, He made provision for the redemption of men from sin.” God the Holy Spirit “The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God … He exalts Christ. He convicts of sin, of righteousness and of judgment … He enlightens and empowers the believer and the church in worship, evangelism, and service.” Man “Man was created by the special act of God, in His own image, and is the crowning work of His creation … By his free choice man sinned against God and brought sin into the human race … The sacredness of human personality is evident in that God created man in His own image, and in that Christ died for man; therefore every man possesses dignity and is worthy of respect and Christian love.” Salvation “Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer. In its broadest sense salvation includes regeneration, sanctification, and glorification.” God's Purpose of Grace “Election is the gracious purpose of God, according to which He regenerates, sanctifies, and glorifies sinners … All true believers endure to the end. Those whom God has accepted in Christ, and sanctified by His Spirit, will never fall away from the state of grace, but shall persevere to the end.” The Church “A New Testament church of the Lord Jesus Christ is a local body of baptized believers who are associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel … and seeking to extend the gospel to the ends of the earth … This church is an autonomous body … The New Testament speaks also of the church as the body of Christ which includes all of the redeemed of all the ages.” Baptism and the Lord's Supper “Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water … It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Saviour, the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus.” The Kingdom “The Kingdom of God includes both His general sovereignty over the universe and His particular kingship over men who willfully acknowledge Him as King. Particularly the Kingdom is the realm of salvation into which men enter by trustful, childlike commitment to Jesus Christ … The full consummation of the Kingdom awaits the return of Jesus Christ and the end of this age.” Last Things “God, in His own time and in His own way, will bring the world to its appropriate end … Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly…the dead will be raised; and Christ will judge all men in righteousness. The unrighteous will be consigned to Hell … The righteous … will receive their reward and will dwell forever in Heaven with the Lord.” Evangelism and Missions “It is the duty and privilege of every follower of Christ and of every church of the Lord Jesus Christ to endeavor to make disciples of all nations … to seek constantly to win the lost to Christ by personal effort. |
| 我們的歷史 Our History |
| 回顧與前瞻 長島基督福音教會源起於石溪大學基督徒師生屬靈之需，並進一步，服事周圍的社區。教會正式成立於主後一九八五年四月二十四日，會址暫設324 Jayne Blvd, Port Jefferson Station,借用Calvary Baptist Church場地。當時的牧者是葉華牧師(Rev. Carpus Yip)。 一九九二年，教會經多次會員大會，審慎加入美南浸信會（Southern Baptist Convention）。同年，葉華牧師離職；執事會及會員大會決議由林恂牧師接任牧養教會之職。 一九九四年，教會決定遷址至鄰近石溪校區的Christ Community Church‧會址遂更改為Oxhead Road & Pembrook Road, Stony Brook。教會成員包括石溪大學教職人員、學生、從事專業的校友，及來自社區的家庭；齊心努力超越文化與語言的隔閡，在主裏同建立屬靈之家。 二零零三年三月，林恂牧師因在 North Carolina 有服事的異象而離職。二零零四年七月，執事會及會員大會決議由齊正牧師接任牧養教會之職。二零零五年五月，為方便弟兄姊妹在網路上尋找教會地址，將會址更正為 66 Pembrook Road, Stony Brook至今。 如今，教會雖自二十世紀跨入了二十一世紀，仍持守起初蒙主呼召的異象，竭力參予校園福音工作，並支持牧師，擔任石溪大學校牧之職。面對百分之二十八亞裔學生的校區，「主可以差遣誰呢？誰肯為主去呢？」當是長島基督福音教會未來繼續回應主的挑戰! |

陳鋒卿牧師 Rev. David Chen 引言: 畢業於台灣中台神學院, 全時間事奉主卅餘年。曾於台灣的福音機構和教會服事, 到美國後加入「基督使者團契」作學生的工作。 曾擔任: * 美國紐約州賓漢敦華人基督教會代理牧師 * 唐崇榮國際佈道團北美事工副總幹事 * 紐約長島新生命教會主任牧師 現任: * 紐約長島基督福音教會代理牧師 (CCGC, LI) * 紐約長島石溪大學團契校牧 (CCF, SUNY Stony Brook) |
